It has been so beautiful and warm out in Michigan the last few weeks, especially for September! But hey, I am NOT complaining, I want to embrace as much warm air and sunshine that I can! The only downside to this is trying to figure out what to wear when all you want to do is pull out your scarves and boots and buy pumpkin spice everything! It was a whopping 80° out yesterday when my friends and I decided to go to Blake’s Apple Orchard, but I still wanted to bring a little bit of fall to my outfit. So I settled on wearing a sleeveless flowy dress with fall boots! I was very satisfied with my decision as hot as it was, I got the best of both worlds. 😉
I think my friends and I felt like kids again while apple picking! We got to goof off and even have a few snacks at the same time. I was truly thankful for such a beautiful day! 😀
The whole reason I really wanted to take a trip to the orchard was so I could make homemade apple crisp cheesecake! YUM! 😛 (I will be doing a blog post about the apple crisp cheesecake I make ;), so stay tuned, loves!) We collected all of our apples, but we could not leave without making it inside the cider mill for some warm donuts and cider!
Oh, and how cute are those painted pumpkins?! I had to snap a pic.
Last but not least we had to drive over to the WINERY! So delicious. I can never get enough of Blake’s Hard Cider. You can find this stuff in so many local bars and restaurants and I LOVE it. We definitely had an adventure-filled Sunday, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better! Stay tuned for my apple crisp post, perfect for these September days…. yummmmm.
